An oilfield burner supplies controlled combustion for a suitably matched boiler or heater. Selection connects the required fuel heat input, actual fuel properties, furnace geometry, draft and the approved control philosophy. Vance reviews the burner as part of the thermal equipment, not as an isolated capacity number.
Diesel, gas and selected dual-fuel arrangements require configuration-specific confirmation. Fuel conditioning, combustion air, mounting, instrumentation and protective interfaces must be identified in the actual offer. A photograph or reference specification does not establish every included component or destination approval.

Compare minimum and maximum inputs at the same fuel and furnace conditions. A nominal turndown ratio does not describe every load case.

Identify the offered flame supervision, permissives, protective functions and external control interfaces in a controlled functional response.
Evidence for the agreed duty
Distinguish factory assembly and functional checks from performance needing the installed furnace, site fuel and final draft arrangement.

Thermal equipment applications
Mobile boiler firing
Review the boiler heat-input schedule, furnace match, onboard utilities and installed fuel arrangement. The burner does not independently establish useful steam or hot-water output.
Oilfield heating units
Connect the burner firing range with the heater design and process heating demand. Thermal-fluid properties belong to the heater review; they are not automatically burner fuel specifications.
Reviewed furnace retrofits
Confirm flame clearance, draft, mounting and protective interfaces on the actual equipment. A replacement requires more than matching a flange or nominal input rating.

Oilfield burner buyer questions
Is this oilfield burner a flare?
No. This product is a configured combustion burner for integration with a boiler or heater. It is not being offered as a flare or as an unrestricted waste-gas disposal system.
Does every unit include dual-fuel operation?
No. Confirm the selected fuel modes and complete supporting equipment in the offer. Each fuel requires its own accepted properties, operating envelope and verification.
Can a burner be selected by heat capacity alone?
No. Furnace geometry, flame envelope, fuel conditions, draft and control requirements also govern the match. Distinguish burner fuel input from useful heating output.
Are reference efficiency and emissions values universal guarantees?
No. Require the actual configuration, fuel, load and measurement basis. Separate reference information from any contractual commitment and site acceptance requirement.
Does a standard enclosure establish hazardous-area suitability?
No. The actual location, ignition sources, component selection and installation require project-specific review. An enclosure rating alone does not approve the complete combustion installation.
What should I send for a quotation?
Send the duty schedule, fuel specification, furnace and mounting drawings, draft conditions, utilities, environment and destination. Identify required controls, tests and supply boundaries.
